Caroline's Fanfic Final

PROLOGUE:

The lion roared and the world began to come to life. A group of people from another world looked on as plants appeared, animals came to life, and the lion slowly drew nearer.
The witch tries to throw a pole, but when it hits the lion, it just bounces off and he doesn't seem to notice. When the pole lands on the ground it grows into a lamppost.
In fear, the witch runs away into a nearby newly grown forest, and one of the men tries to escape as well but doesn't get very far before he trips and falls.
A boy upon a horse approaches the great lion surrounded by animals. The boy is sent on a journey and the horse is given wings. Together they fly away, not to be seen until the next day.

By the gate that was the entrance to the garden there grew a large beautiful flower. The boy took an interest and had a closer look. As it was still early morning and the sun was coming up, the flower began to bloom right before his eyes, and inside there was a tiny girl beginning to wake up. She went with the boy into the garden and then back to see the lion.
The fruit taken from the garden is thrown away and the first king and queen are crowned. When the boy takes the fruit from the new tree that has grown, he and his friends disappear back into their world.
The tiny girl was sad and lonely that her first friend had gone so soon, but the first queen of Narnia took an interest in her and, holding her in the palm of her hand exclaimed "why, you're no bigger than my thumb!"
Thus, her name became Thumbelina.

AND ONTO THE STORY:

How long has it been since the days that weren't white? A hundred years since the last flower bloomed and the snow began to fall. Such limited weather variations was boring to wake up to every morning.

"Thumbelina!"

She opened the door to the balcony on the tiny tree house that fits her tiny size to find a bird sitting there.

"Good morning, JacquimoAny luck with the worms this morning?"

"Forget worms, Miss Thumbelina, everyone's saying that a girl's in the forest. A human girl!"

Well, this was new; her eyes widened in surprise.

"Apparently she was picked up by Tumnus at Lanterns Wane and he took her to his house." he said.

"Are they still there now?" Thumbelina asked. "Let's go and see if this is true and keep an eye on them."

Jacquimo nodded his head and sat down to let her on to his back.

Thumbelina loved riding on Jacquimo's back. At first she was terrified and would scream in his ear, but now she was used to it and, having calmed down, she noticed the wind in her hair and the view of everything from being up so high. When they arrived at Tumnus' house she was almost disappointed it was over. She soon forgot it as her thoughts moved on to the new visitor of the forest.

Looking through the window they saw a young girl having tea with Tumnus. They looked to be chatting comfortably, though Tumnus seemed to be a bit nervous. But that was understandable considering he was in the presence of an actual human child who could be the answer to the prophecy and bring back the Sun.

---

A few weeks after the girl left, Thumbelina was going for a walk with a squirrel friend. They were just passing the lamp of Lanterns Wane when there was a rustling in the bushes, and out came the little girl.

"Oh!" she cried, noticing them almost immediately then, looking closer at Thumbelina, "Why, you're so tiny! What's your name?"

"I'm Thumbelina" she answered. " And this is my friend...oh, well never mind." Her friend had disappeared! "What's your name?" she asked instead.

"I'm Lucy"

"And I am Jacquimo!" said Jacquimo who'd just appeared, having been warned by the squirrel that a giant was attacking the forest.

At that moment there was another rustling in the bushes behind Lucy. Both turning to look, they saw a boy appear.

"Edmund!" Lucy cried. "You followed me here. See, I didn't lie; this place really does exist. Now Peter and Susan will have to believe me."

At that, she started walking back towards the bushes.

"Let me come too!" called Thumbelina. "Jacquimo can stay and show Edmund around while they wait."

And with that, Lucy took Thumbelina in her hand and together they plunged into the bushes.

---

They hadn't been gone long before the sound of muffled hoofs came into hearing.

"Quick, hide!" Jacquimo cried.

Edmund, only slightly startled and clearly not knowing the possible danger, went slowly to hide behind the tree with the bird. Soon a horse pulling an open sleigh came into view, and there in the sleigh was a magnificent looking woman dressed all in white. Edmund obviously didn't feel afraid, for his head was poking out quite far and he didn't even jump when the woman looked straight at him and yelled:

"Stop!"

---

"Where's Edmund?"

Lucy looked at Jacquimo.

"The White Witch took him! There was nothing I could do" said Jacquimo in tears.

"Oh my!" exclaimed Susan, who was also taken aback by the talking bird. "Whatever are we going to do to get him back?"

"We'll have to go after him," said Peter, who'd recovered already.

Thumbelina shook her head vigorously.

"No," she said. "We can't risk the rest of you falling into the White Witch's hands. Jacquimo and I will gather our friends and get him back for you. Mr and Mrs Beaver will look after you while we're gone."
---

The guards had run off a few moments earlier and Edmund, lying alone in the dark damp cell inside a tall tower, heard rustling and a loud click. Suddenly his cell door swung wide open! Then a small voice came out of nowhere.

"This way, come on!" a pause, then: "Down here!"

And there standing on the floor was Thumbelina, hands on her hips in exhasperation.

"How did you get here?" Edmund asked, alarmed.

"Jacquimo flew me up to lead you out. We have to hurry while the guards are still distracted."

Carefully picking her up, Edmund made his way out of the cell and down the stairs with Thumbelina giving directions. As they were nearing the exit, the noise of a commotion outside grew louder. When they reached the door, looking out from behind it, they saw many birds and forest animals running around with the witch's dwarfs chasing after them, the witch herself shouting instructions from nearby.

"When I say 'now', wait for everyone to be distracted before running to the gate," Thumbelina told Edmund.

"Now!"

Suddenly hundreds of rats Edmund had no idea was following behind them came rushing out the door as he stood frozen in shock. By now there was an uproar and everyone was running around in chaos. Thumbelina had to bite his thumb to remind him he should be running. Before he could think himself out of it he lunged forward into the ruckus. They were about halfway to the gate and out to freedom when they realised they'd been spotted because the witch was shrieking even louder:

"Get them! Get them, you fools!!" o.O

Fortunately there was too much going on and any hasty attempts to catch them obviously failed because, after what seemed like an eternity, they made it to the gate. Jacquimo and a horse were waiting for them on the other side. As they made their escape Edmund was either scared or very grateful for the way he was clinging onto the horse. Jacquimo, with Thumbelina, was flying alongside and keeping a lookout behind them.

"Where are we going?" Edmund eventually asked after relaxing somewhat.

"Onward to Aslan!" Thumbelina replied.

---

Edmund was reunited with his siblings, having learnt his lesson not to make friends with bad people. And with spring arriving, the fairies had woken up, and Thumbelina was reunited with her boyfriend, Cornelius, the fairy Prince. Even though Cornelius was happy to be Thumbelina's wings, as a reward for her efforts in saving Edmund, Aslan gave her a pair of wings of her own. These were to be of use in defeating the White Witch and any other problems that should arise, for Jacquimo and even Cornelius weren't always going to be able to carry her.

Despite the wings taking a bit of time for her to get used to, after much perseverance, Thumbelina was soon zooming around into everyone's faces. The new kings and queens of Narnia were crowned, and Thumbelina was made their royal adviser.

The End

Courtenay's Fan-fiction Final

Things had gone downhill in Hundred Acre Wood since Christopher Robin came into his teenage years. Rebelling against his parents, Christopher fell into the wrong crowd and succumbed to the pressure of smoking, drinking and dabbling in recreational drugs. His carefree woodland friends were unaware of Christopher's new habits, but they did take note of his irrational behaviour when he would find the time to visit them. Even though they were always pleased to see him, no one was more happier nor antsy at his arrival than Rabbit.

'He's coming today right?' Rabbit asked Pooh.
'Yes Rabbit, Christopher Robin said he would be here at noonish' replied Pooh.
'Christopher Robin always comes on These-days' piped up Piglet.
"It's 'Thurs-days' Piglet, and its noonish now. You would think he would stick to his word' huffed Rabbit.

Coming up from behind, Christopher Robin overheard Rabbit's frustrations.
'It's noonish when I say its noonish Rabbit' he snapped. 'Now why am I here so early? Did you run out of your stash already?

'I'd rather we discussed this matter in private Christopher. Especially when I have to tell you something about the garden and stash' Rabbit whispered.

'W-W-What's wrong with your vege-tabil garden Rabbit? And what's a stash?' asked Piglet.
'None of your bees-wax Piglet' huffed Rabbit.
He hated talking about these things, especially Piglet was around. Piglet was a little too observant for Rabbit's liking whereas Pooh could be easily distracted.

As if on cue, Pooh began to ramble, 'I wouldn't mind a smackeral of bees-wax. Although hunny would be better for a Pooh. Are we going to get Hunny?'

Quickly becoming agitated with his old friends rambling, Christopher took note of Rabbit hinting something could be wrong with his stash.
Glaring at his long eared friend, he hissed, 'Rabbit what's wrong with the garden? If you screw this up again, I will end you'
Gulping in fear of his life, Rabbit tried to plead with Christopher, knowing this was fast becoming a delicate situation.
'Christopher please. It's just a little bump, nothing we can't recover from. But could we maybe go somewhere else to talk?'

Christopher sneered at Rabbit, if this was going to get messy he didn't need Pooh and Piglet to be more loose ends he'd have to take care of.
'There shouldn't be anything to recover from Rabbit. I am warning you, if there is even anything remotely wrong this will be the last you see of your precious woods and friends' Christopher threatened, 'We'll discuss this on the hill not to far from Tiggers tree, do not disappoint me'.

As Piglet watched Rabbit slowly walk away with Christopher, he couldn't help but feel as if Rabbit needed to be rescued. But what Rabbit needed to be rescued from was a mystery. After all Christopher Robin was their friend; he had been for years and for him to suddenly intimidate Rabbit was so out of ordinary Piglet got a headache just from trying to process it all. What was going on between those two? More importantly, what did this have to do with a stash?
'I w-w-wonder what's going on between those two?' muttered Piglet to himself.
'Piglet can we go look for some hunny?' asked Pooh. 'I haven't had any since breakfast this morning and my tummy is grumbly and grumpy'.
'Okay then Pooh' Piglet sighed. He knew Pooh wouldn't have taken any notice of Rabbit and Christopher's conversation. Not when filling his tummy was occupying his thoughts. Deciding not to clue Pooh in on his thoughts, Piglet mentioned that Tigger may have a spare pot of hunny.
'You are a great tummy pleasing friend Piglet' smiled Pooh as the two coincidentally ambled off in the direction of Tiggers tree as well.

***
Halfway to Tiggers Tree, Piglet and Pooh heard a bustle taking place behind them.
'HALT! STOP! SOMEONE STOP THAT TIGGER!' shouted a voice of authority.

Startled Piglet and Pooh turned to see a flurry of orange fur and black stripes streaking past them before bouncing into the thickly covered shrubs quickly followed by a speeding Owl and a huffing Eeyore. Stopping to catch his breath, Eeyore called out to Owl to keep going. It was imperative they didn't lose sight of that troublesome tiger. Looking up, Eeyore noticed a bewildered Piglet and Pooh looking back and forth between him and the fading Owl-Tigger chase in the distance. Pretending to act as if nothing was out of the ordinary, Eeyore approached the two praying he could think of an excuse as to why he and Owl were chasing Tigger. Well more so Owl than himself; Eeyore's days of pursuit were fast becoming numbered for the weary donkey.

'Hey Pooh, Piglet' he drawled in his monotonous tone. 'Where are you guys headed?'
'Eeyore, w-w-why were you chasing Tigger?' asked Piglet.

'Is it because of the hunny pot he was carrying?' Pooh added, licking his lips.
'Something like that Pooh. We need to get that pot back to Rabbit's garden' Eeyore replied.
'His garden?' thought a puzzled Piglet. 'Why is everyone so bothered with Rabbits garden on these-days?' he murmured.
'I think,' started Pooh, 'It might be because Rabbit hid the stash inside the hunny pot and was looking after that hunny pot for Christopher Robin. But then Tigger took the hunny pot and now Eeyore and Owl want to give the hunny pot back to Rabbit so Christopher Robin can be happy. And then I can be happy when I get that spare hunny pot of Tiggers. But then again I may not be thinking right, there are so many hunny pots to think about and I all I want to think about is my one'.

Eeyore's and Piglet's eyes widened in surprised.
'You heard Christopher Robin and Rabbit talking?' Piglet asked Pooh.
'Of course I did, Christopher was yelling so loud I didn't know who was more grumbly - him or my tummy' Pooh remembered wistfully.
'Wait, Christopher Robin is here? In the woods?' Eeyore exclaimed. 'And he's meeting with Rabbit? Where?!'
His hopes of keeping these two out of the loop was perplexing as they seemed to be more in the loop than Eeyore was himself.

'I-I-I'm not too sure Eeyore' stuttered a confused Piglet. He too was wondering how Pooh managed to make sense of all the thoughts running through Piglet's head.
'Oh Piglet, you are forgetful sometimes. They're meeting on the hill by Tiggers Tree, It's why we're all going there isn't it? For the hunny pots?' Pooh remarked.

'Well yes,' responded Eeyore. 'But ..'
'No buts, lets get going' Pooh said, more than happy that his hunny pot situation would soon be resolved as soon as they all got to Tiggers Tree.
However it was the means as to how the situation would be resolved that remained present in Piglet and Eeyore's minds.

I could hear my mothers voice in the distance telling me to push and all i could think was please don't let him come out looking like Tom.

Please don't let him come out looking like Tom.

Please don't let him come out looking like ...

"it's a healthy baby boy" Vasa uttered with tears streaming down her face.

Evan looked lovingly into Ula's eyes and whispered "you did it"

"no, we did it" Ula said as she reached out to touch Evans hand.

"who's cutting the cord? grandma or daddy?" Sarah smiled holding the small baby in her hands.

Confusion buzzed between Evan and Ula into who would be best to cut the umbilical cord.

"Daddy will" Ula uttered with a tired smile.

Evan bent forward to grab the scissors and began to snip away at the soft piece of meat connecting his newborn son to his mother.

"we'll just give bubbah a quick wipe down and then he's all yours mummy" Sarah stood up passing the baby to the nurse.

In Ula's hospital room after birth

The Coopers huddled around the tiny bundle their mother was holding.

"He's so adorable i just wanna eat him up" Bella squeaked while dabbling the baby on the nose.

"I cant believe he came from the makings of him" Jasmine smirked while looking at Evan

Ula swung her legs to the side of the bed and slowly slipped her feet into her slippers.

"I'm just going for a walk to try regain the feeling in my legs"

Evan rushed to Ula's side  "here I'll come with you"

"will you be ok with him?" Ula asked Wendy

"Yes hun, you go take a break we'll be fine with him. Won't we darling" Wendy insisted, looking down at the baby.

Ula staggered to her feet and slowly motioned out the door with Evan clinging to her side.

Outside in the hospital corridors

"Thanks for being here Evan, i really don't know how to thank you."

"I told you i was going to be here and i won't be going anywhere"

"I'm scared..." Ula sighed

"The hard parts done for you, what are you worried about now?" Evan snugged a finger at Ula's chin

A dull look on Ula's face darkened the moment
"You can't just decide who the father of the baby is going to be, and then expect the child to come out looking like them"

"I know, we're just going to hope your genes are strong and he looks exactly like you."
Grabbing Ula's hand Evan nudged her playfully
"He can just be white like me, that's something me and Tom have in common"

Ula couldn't help but laugh in the moment, but in her mind the thought lingered.

-What if he begins to take on Toms resemblance, then we're screwed.

~2 weeks later~
Ula had taken off a few weeks from school to heal and recuperate. Her and Evan had decided on a name for their new edition, Maxwell Levi-Cooper. They had not yet decided which last name to take as Ula was afraid that taking Evan's last name might back fire on them later, if their little secret were to get out.

(Maxwell's house)
Ula stood there staring into baby Maxwell's bassinet. His facial features were starting to become dominant now.
His hair was a light shade of brown, almost a dark shade of blonde when under the light. His eyes were of a solid grey shade and drooped at the tips like tear drops. One thing Ula knew for sure was that baby Maxwell definitely had her eyes.
She squinted at him from a distance as if to check that there was no resemblance of Tom in him.
A soft knocking at the door caught her attention and quickly brought her back to reality.

"That must be your grandparent's coming to have a look at how big you've gotten" Ula whispered as she headed towards the door.

"Hey" Evan said as he gave Ula a soft peck on the cheek.

Wendy stepped forward and headed towards the bassinet "how's our little prince doing".

"He's doing well, he's started eating almost double now" Ula motioned her hand to the rest of the Cooper clang to enter.

"And how's mummy doing" Wendy smiled as she placed a container on the kitchen bench. "Thought you might be hungry so I made you a nice hearty soup to keep your energy up"

"Thanks, that was nice of you. He's been asleep for a while, and due for a feed soon" Ula slowly picked up the baby with both arms and handed him over to Murray.

Wendy looked down at baby Maxwell in Murray's arms, "he's looking a bit different everyday now" she said in an uneasy tone.

Ula and Evan in shock stared at each other hoping they wouldn't notice that baby Maxwell hadn't taken any of Evans so called genes.

"That's it !" Wendy jumped.

"He does that cute little nose sniffle and scrunches his nose and eyes" Wendy pricked the babies nose.

Murray giggled as he turned to Ula and said "Just like his father".

Ula and Evan looked at each other once again, in relief they sighed "yeah, just like his father" Evan smirked.

Albaraa 's Final Fanfiction

Batman: The Next Generation (2033).

Episode 1: Setting the scene
The source of Alfred Wayne’s fortune was shadowy, even to Alfred.  From a young age, Alfred had been raised by a series of maids and butlers.  He did know, however, that a higher intelligence had been guiding his growth and development from a young age.  Unlike some rich boys, he was placed on a strict stipend, according to the wishes of his late father’s will. (There was no mention of Alfred’s mother in the will, not even her identity).  His late father Bruce also mandated that his son be exposed to all of the suffering of the world.  Alfred was told, at various intervals, that he must go abroad to volunteer in impoverished regions of the world, as a condition of his inheritance. He was also required to go to college, and, after receiving his acceptance from an institution, he would receive the full amount (estimated in billions) of the late Bruce Wayne.

Despite growing up under such pressure, by all accounts, Alfred was a likeable but not particularly studious young man.  Despite his occasional mandatory trips to South America and Eastern Europe, overall life had come pretty easily to Alfred, and even though people liked him, it was widely assumed that he would casually fill the shoes of the typical Gotham City playboy—going to sporting events, being seen in clubs, and always being seen with the right socialites on his arm.  No one was willing to cross him, particularly because he seemed so nice and amiable, the very antithesis of his brooding father.  After a generous donation to Gotham University by the Wayne Foundation, he was accepted by the prestigious city university.
“Let’s go out clubbing,” said Alfred one night to his roommate Robin.  Robin, unlike Wayne, was a scholarship student.  The child of circus acrobats, he was at Gotham University on a full scholarship.  Robin had a secret of his own, but one which he had not revealed to Alfred. “It’s Friday night, it’s no time to study.”
“Well...okay...” said Robin, unsure of how he could get out of the situation.  He agreed and followed Alfred into the night. The two young men went to the local hangout, the Joker’s Wild, a dark and cavernous bar. Alfred easily met a girl, and Robin talked to her friend.  “I think she likes you,” said Bruce when the two girls went to the bathroom together. However, Robin just shrugged.
SLAM!  Alfred and Robin turned around. Suddenly, they were in the midst of a brawl.  “What are you, trying to pick me up?” said a thuggish-looking fraternity boy.
“I wasn’t trying to do anything” said the other college kid, being held by the scruff of the thug’s neck.
“You and your boyfriend were bothering me,” quoth the thug.
“What’s it to you, anyway,” said the kid, brave even though he could barely talk because the other guy’s knuckles were digging into his windpipe.
Robin sprang into action, every bit of his circus training coming to the forefront.  He grabbed the frat boy like the guy was a toy, instead of the 200 pound plus bruiser that he had seemed a moment ago. “Do you have a problem with that?” said Robin.  “Because I sure have a problem with you.”
Alfred was stunned and immediately felt inadequate.  Sure, he didn’t like to see injustice done.  But whenever he saw something like that—people beating up on the weaker and more vulnerable, he was more inclined to stand aside than to act.
It also suddenly occurred to him, based upon Robin’s reaction, why his roommate was not particularly interested in going out to pick up chicks.

The next Saturday, nursing a slight hangover, Alfred appeared in the law office of the executor of his father’s will. This was the day he would receive his full inheritance.  The lawyer handed Alfred a grey box.  The lock of the box was shaped like the mouth of a bat.  The lawyer handed him a key.
Inside the box was a check for one billion dollars and change (‘change’ meaning several millions. Alfred knew, of course, that he was to receive this great sum of money but seeing all of those zeros made him tremble.  But there was something that took him by surprise—along with the check there was a grey mask...and a letter.

Dear son:
Because of the persecution of my enemies, I fear that I will not live to see your birth.  But I write you this letter to be worthy of your inheritance. Many years ago, when I was a young boy, even younger than you are now, I witnessed the death of my parents—your grandparents. From that day forward I resolved to steel myself against the injustice of the world.  I trained my mind and body incessantly so that I could take action when the law could not.
From the grave, I have done everything in my power to ensure that you too will have a keen sense of justice.  You have been granted many privileges, but know that to those whom much is given, much is expected.
Signed,
Bruce “Batman” Wayne

Alfred put down the letter.  Could it be?  His father was the legendry caped crusader, more of a figure of myth than reality.  Suddenly, he felt a sense of shame...but what could he do to change himself....
