Courtenay's Fan-fiction Final

Things had gone downhill in Hundred Acre Wood since Christopher Robin came into his teenage years. Rebelling against his parents, Christopher fell into the wrong crowd and succumbed to the pressure of smoking, drinking and dabbling in recreational drugs. His carefree woodland friends were unaware of Christopher's new habits, but they did take note of his irrational behaviour when he would find the time to visit them. Even though they were always pleased to see him, no one was more happier nor antsy at his arrival than Rabbit.

'He's coming today right?' Rabbit asked Pooh.
'Yes Rabbit, Christopher Robin said he would be here at noonish' replied Pooh.
'Christopher Robin always comes on These-days' piped up Piglet.
"It's 'Thurs-days' Piglet, and its noonish now. You would think he would stick to his word' huffed Rabbit.

Coming up from behind, Christopher Robin overheard Rabbit's frustrations.
'It's noonish when I say its noonish Rabbit' he snapped. 'Now why am I here so early? Did you run out of your stash already?

'I'd rather we discussed this matter in private Christopher. Especially when I have to tell you something about the garden and stash' Rabbit whispered.

'W-W-What's wrong with your vege-tabil garden Rabbit? And what's a stash?' asked Piglet.
'None of your bees-wax Piglet' huffed Rabbit.
He hated talking about these things, especially Piglet was around. Piglet was a little too observant for Rabbit's liking whereas Pooh could be easily distracted.

As if on cue, Pooh began to ramble, 'I wouldn't mind a smackeral of bees-wax. Although hunny would be better for a Pooh. Are we going to get Hunny?'

Quickly becoming agitated with his old friends rambling, Christopher took note of Rabbit hinting something could be wrong with his stash.
Glaring at his long eared friend, he hissed, 'Rabbit what's wrong with the garden? If you screw this up again, I will end you'
Gulping in fear of his life, Rabbit tried to plead with Christopher, knowing this was fast becoming a delicate situation.
'Christopher please. It's just a little bump, nothing we can't recover from. But could we maybe go somewhere else to talk?'

Christopher sneered at Rabbit, if this was going to get messy he didn't need Pooh and Piglet to be more loose ends he'd have to take care of.
'There shouldn't be anything to recover from Rabbit. I am warning you, if there is even anything remotely wrong this will be the last you see of your precious woods and friends' Christopher threatened, 'We'll discuss this on the hill not to far from Tiggers tree, do not disappoint me'.

As Piglet watched Rabbit slowly walk away with Christopher, he couldn't help but feel as if Rabbit needed to be rescued. But what Rabbit needed to be rescued from was a mystery. After all Christopher Robin was their friend; he had been for years and for him to suddenly intimidate Rabbit was so out of ordinary Piglet got a headache just from trying to process it all. What was going on between those two? More importantly, what did this have to do with a stash?
'I w-w-wonder what's going on between those two?' muttered Piglet to himself.
'Piglet can we go look for some hunny?' asked Pooh. 'I haven't had any since breakfast this morning and my tummy is grumbly and grumpy'.
'Okay then Pooh' Piglet sighed. He knew Pooh wouldn't have taken any notice of Rabbit and Christopher's conversation. Not when filling his tummy was occupying his thoughts. Deciding not to clue Pooh in on his thoughts, Piglet mentioned that Tigger may have a spare pot of hunny.
'You are a great tummy pleasing friend Piglet' smiled Pooh as the two coincidentally ambled off in the direction of Tiggers tree as well.

***
Halfway to Tiggers Tree, Piglet and Pooh heard a bustle taking place behind them.
'HALT! STOP! SOMEONE STOP THAT TIGGER!' shouted a voice of authority.

Startled Piglet and Pooh turned to see a flurry of orange fur and black stripes streaking past them before bouncing into the thickly covered shrubs quickly followed by a speeding Owl and a huffing Eeyore. Stopping to catch his breath, Eeyore called out to Owl to keep going. It was imperative they didn't lose sight of that troublesome tiger. Looking up, Eeyore noticed a bewildered Piglet and Pooh looking back and forth between him and the fading Owl-Tigger chase in the distance. Pretending to act as if nothing was out of the ordinary, Eeyore approached the two praying he could think of an excuse as to why he and Owl were chasing Tigger. Well more so Owl than himself; Eeyore's days of pursuit were fast becoming numbered for the weary donkey.

'Hey Pooh, Piglet' he drawled in his monotonous tone. 'Where are you guys headed?'
'Eeyore, w-w-why were you chasing Tigger?' asked Piglet.

'Is it because of the hunny pot he was carrying?' Pooh added, licking his lips.
'Something like that Pooh. We need to get that pot back to Rabbit's garden' Eeyore replied.
'His garden?' thought a puzzled Piglet. 'Why is everyone so bothered with Rabbits garden on these-days?' he murmured.
'I think,' started Pooh, 'It might be because Rabbit hid the stash inside the hunny pot and was looking after that hunny pot for Christopher Robin. But then Tigger took the hunny pot and now Eeyore and Owl want to give the hunny pot back to Rabbit so Christopher Robin can be happy. And then I can be happy when I get that spare hunny pot of Tiggers. But then again I may not be thinking right, there are so many hunny pots to think about and I all I want to think about is my one'.

Eeyore's and Piglet's eyes widened in surprised.
'You heard Christopher Robin and Rabbit talking?' Piglet asked Pooh.
'Of course I did, Christopher was yelling so loud I didn't know who was more grumbly - him or my tummy' Pooh remembered wistfully.
'Wait, Christopher Robin is here? In the woods?' Eeyore exclaimed. 'And he's meeting with Rabbit? Where?!'
His hopes of keeping these two out of the loop was perplexing as they seemed to be more in the loop than Eeyore was himself.

'I-I-I'm not too sure Eeyore' stuttered a confused Piglet. He too was wondering how Pooh managed to make sense of all the thoughts running through Piglet's head.
'Oh Piglet, you are forgetful sometimes. They're meeting on the hill by Tiggers Tree, It's why we're all going there isn't it? For the hunny pots?' Pooh remarked.

'Well yes,' responded Eeyore. 'But ..'
'No buts, lets get going' Pooh said, more than happy that his hunny pot situation would soon be resolved as soon as they all got to Tiggers Tree.
However it was the means as to how the situation would be resolved that remained present in Piglet and Eeyore's minds.

    1. That is so true Courtenay, I have the same problem, I have lots to tell in my story, however, the limitation of words can make my story to be continue. Hopefully, we can still finish up our story at the end of this semester. But I really like the structure of your story, all characters and their roles in the story are very well present. Well done!!
